My very first activity upon joining the Red Bank Y was an aerobics class with Rita who was still single. Many years and many classes later, Rita was always an inspirational instructor. She kicked our butts and we loved it.
She was truly special. We all will carry her in our hearts.
My prayers are with you,

Dear Lovely Family of Rita, Rita was on my church's prayer list ever since she shared her diagnosis in Pilates class at the Y. And, I am friends with two other ladies (Michelle and Amanda) from her support group. They kept me informed on her journey. We have been praying for a different outcome. I want you to know I was praying for her, and you-her lovely family, on Sunday morning the 17th, while in church I didn't know she was so near the end of this life, but thoughts of her kept coming into my heart.
Know that as long as you remember her, she will be with you. We, who admired and loved her, will help you remember. 2 Tim.4:18
Peace, Nancy Taylor

I am so thankful I had the privilege of getting to know Rita through our Pilates teacher training together. We spent many fridays practicing our new skills, laughing, and shoveling down snacks. Rita was a delightful and engaging person and I am greatly saddened she won't be there to share in future trainings. she was fun, down to earth, smart and encouraging. I was very heartened at the visitation to see the joy, peace and love that surrounded Rita. It is apparent her zest for life and her faith will live on through her family.

My strongest memories of Rita are from her childhood when I would visit her grandmother, my aunt, in Staten Island. They are of a young girl playing by the lake with brother and laughing. My thoughts and prayers are with her husband, children, and parents. May they be comforted and sustained by their memories of Rita. In sympathy and love.

Please accept my deepest condolences, Rita was a great teacher. Her family meant so much to her. She was taken away from us too soon. She had so much to give. Her memory will dwell in us for many years to come. She had courage and she fought till the end. She is an inspiration to all of us. I will miss her.

Jon and Family,
Both Frank and I have kept Rita in our prayers these past few months. Our faith tells us that He does here our prayers but His answer may not be the one we were praying for...He chose to call her to His home.
May she find peace in His loving arms.....Sabina and Frank Mascia

Words can't express the sorrow I felt and feel when I heard about Rita's passing yesterday.
I met her around four years ago as she was my Pilates teacher at the Y and she was the BEST teacher I've ever had plus she was one of the nicest and bravest people I've ever met. I am still amazed at her courage.
I will miss her a whole lot as I know everyone she came in contact will also.
All my love to her family.
