RONALD ALLGAIER
AGE: 67 WOODBRIDGE
Ronald Allgaier, 67, of Woodbridge, passed away Thursday, June 3, 2010, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Rahway. Born in Rahway, he lived in Woodbridge all his life and was a graduate of Woodbridge school system. He was employed as a police officer with Woodbridge Township for 34 years before retiring in 2004. Ronald served his country as a special operations officer in the Navy during the Vietnam War stationed on the USS Destroyer Durant. He was a member of the Colonia V.F.W. Post 6061 and a parishioner of St. James Roman Catholic Church, Woodbridge.
He is predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Florence Allgaier. He is survived by his daughter, Wendy Allgaier of Bradley Beach; a longtime friend, Marilyn Richvalsky; a brother-in-law, Albert Jagielski and his wife Edie of Louisiana; cousins, Randy Larate and his wife Karen of Scotch Plains, and Coleen Burke of Woodbridge. He will be sorely missed by Aiden and Declan O'Rourke and Steven Jagielski.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, June 6 at the Leon J. Gerity Funeral Home, 411 Amboy Ave. (Route 35), Woodbridge. A funeral service will be held at 8:30 a.m. Monday, June 7 from the funeral home, followed by a 9 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial from St. James R.C. Church, Woodbridge, with interment to follow at St. Gertrude's Cemetery, Colonia. For directions or to send online condolences, please visit www.gerityfh.com.

Wendy & Marilyn, My sincerest condolences to you during this time of your loss. I've known Ronny for many years and had the pleasure of working with him for many years at the Saints Field and then for many years at WPD. He was a great guy and will be missed. As long as you keep all of your memories of Ron in your heart, he will always be with you. You are in my prayers.
