Little Egg Harbor - Ronald Allan Phillips age 79 of Little Egg Harbor, New Jersey and Daytona Beach, Florida passed away on February 1st in Ormond Beach, Florida.

Ron was born to Mary and Charles Phillips, who predeceased him, in Neptune, New Jersey on January 29, 1939. He was raised in Neptune and graduated in 1957 from Neptune High School and in 1961 from Rutgers University.

Ron married the love of his life Jeanne Lippincott in 1962 and lived in Orange and Middletown before trying out country life in rural Wantage, New Jersey, where he lived from 1975 to 2000. In 2000 he moved to his summer home in Little Egg Harbor. Since 2004, he has spent the winter months in Florida and moved permanently to Florida in May of 2017.

Ron worked for the Otterstedt Insurance Agency in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey for over 30 years and retired as a Vice-President in 2015. Over his many years in the Insurance Industry he received several outstanding achievement awards. While he was very successful in his career his family was always his priority.

Ron was an avid sports fan, fisherman, farmer and sugarmaker. He loved taking his boat out on the Great Bay and later in life became a master at carving decoys. He will be fondly remembered for his devotion to his family and many friends as well as his unique sense of humor.

Ron was pre-deceased by his wife Jeanne. He is survived by his three sons; Ronald Allan Phillips, Jr.; Andrew; and Michael. He is also survived by three grandchildren; Aiden and Esme, and Sara. Also surviving is his sister Marion Currier and his devoted financé Audrey Durrua.
