Michael M. Wallace

Michael Merrill Wallace was born on September 3, 1963 in Savanna-La-Mar, Jamaica, West Indies to Carmen Monica Glaze and Ainslie Osbourne Wallace. The Wallace family migrated from Jamaica to the United States in 1969, and soon settled in Neptune, New Jersey. This move would serve to shape the beginning of Michael's journey; a life defined by hard work, service, and devotion to family.
While growing up Michael attended local schools and proudly graduated in 1983 from Neptune High School. Shortly after, he answered the call to serve this country by joining the United States Army Reserve, a commitment that reflected his sense of duty and discipline.
Michael Wallace was a man of deep faith who held a strong and personal relationship with God. After settling in Georgia, he became a dedicated and faithful member of Grace Baptist Church in Stockbridge. There he found strength, purpose, and community. His faith guided his life, shaped his character, and anchored him through every season.
Driven and entrepreneurial, Michael built a career in the trucking industry of almost two decades. He became an owner-operator of his own trucking business while also working with other reputable companies. Known for his strong work ethic and determination, he took pride in being able to create opportunities through his labor.
He was a car enthusiast, he loved to travel, and meet new people. Above all else Michael cherished his role as a son, a father, a grandfather, a brother, an uncle, a cousin, and a friend. He was a steady presence-dependable, generous, and deeply loved by those who knew him.
Michael passed away unexpectedly from natural causes on December 12, 2025. He is preceded in death by his father, Ainslie Wallace, brothers, Norman 'Barry' Wallace and Leroy Wallace.
Michael is survived by his loving mother, Carmen Wallace (Florida); son, Mysonn (Candice) Ledet (New Jersey); two grandchildren, Carter and Mya Ledet (New Jersey); sisters, Marjorie Robinson (Jamaica, W.I.), Judith Wallace-Hylton and Carole Wallace (both of New Jersey); brothers, Keith Wallace (Florida) and Richard 'Paul' Wallace (New Jersey); uncles, Manley (Joyce) Wallace (Jamaica, W.I.) and Elton Miller (Georgia); aunt, Dotlynn Glaze (Jamaica, W.I.); and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Michael's legacy carries on through the many lives he touched, the family he loved dearly, and the example he set through a life of perseverance and faith. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
