Saverio La Cava Obituary
AGE: 91 • Old Bridge
Saverio 'Sam' La Cava, 91, passed away on Tuesday, August 30th, 2016 at Reformed Church Home, Old Bridge. Born in Brooklyn, New York he lived in Old Bridge and Freehold Township before residing in Spring Hill, Florida. Sam was employed by Asiel & Co. of New York City for forty years before retiring. He was a bronze star recipient serving in World War II and a former communicant of the St. Rose of Lima Church.
He was predeceased by his brother Michael. Sam is survived by his wife of 65years, Dorothy; six children, Carmine, Francis, Gregory, Theresa Ganter, Barbara Freeman and Matthew; three siblings, Carol Macca, Carmine and Joseph; 29 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Friends and family are invited to visit on Thursday, September 1st, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, at the Freeman Funeral Home, 47 East Main Street, Freehold. A Funeral Liturgy will be on Friday at 10:30 am at St. Rose of Lima Church, Freehold. Interment will follow at the parish cemetery, Freehold.
