Stephen Potosky

AGE: 92 • Basking Ridge

Stephen Potosky, 92, was a resident of Fellowship Village in Basking Ridge, formerly of Whiting and Matawan, passed away on Monday, Dec. 9, 2013. Stephen was born in Keyport and was employed by Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceuticals in New Brunswick, as a painter for over 30 years. He was a member of the U.S. Army Infantry during WWII and served as a dog trainer at the Quarter Master Corp War Dog School having achieved the rank of Corporal.

Stephen is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Claire Schober Potosky; his brother, Harry and sister-in-law, June Potosky; and sister-in-law, Marilyn Schober. He is also survived by his nine nieces and nephews, Paul Potosky, Karen Potosky Bonifade, Sandra Potosky Schneider, Janet Potosky Centimole, Russell Potosky, Ronald Schober, Mark Schober, Kathy Schober Oliver, and Carol Schober Policelli.

The visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 13, 2013 at the Gallaway-Crane Funeral Home, 101 South Finley Ave., Basking Ridge, followed by a funeral service at the same location. Interment will follow at the Hollywood Cemeteries in Union.
