Suzanne Ally, 96, died peacefully at home on Saturday, February 4, 2017. Daughter of the late John and Mary Kalenich, Suzanne was born in Madera, PA and lived most of her life in the Finderne section of Bridgewater before moving to Frenchtown. Suzanne was a homemaker. If you were a friend of Sue's, you were a friend for life. A humble beginning in PA, Sue persevered through many obstacles she was faced with during her childhood years. At the age of 16 and strong willed, she left her hometown for NYC where she found the love of her life and married. Settled in Finderne, NJ where she raised her three children. Sue made many lasting friendships in addition to taking care of children as if they were her own. Her smile would enlighten everyone's spirits, leaving lasting a impression. Her interests included getting lost in a good romantic novel, watching her special TV programs, going for walks, spending time with family and close friends. Sue was always the life of the party and would entertain everyone with playing the harmonica. She spent her final years in Kingwood Twp., NJ in the care of her loving daughter and family. She will be truly missed but always remembered and loved. Her beloved husband, William Ally, predeceases her. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her beloved children, William Ally of Egg Harbor, NJ, Patricia Gondek of PA, and Sharon Brown of Frenchtown, NJ; sister, Kay Kuhn of PA; 9 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Visiting hours will be held from 2-5 PM on SUNDAY , FEBRUARY 12, 2017 at the Bridgewater Funeral Home, 707 East Main Street, Bridgewater, NJ 08807. Funeral services will be held 4:30 PM during the visitation. Burial will take place 11 AM on TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 14, 2017 at Resurrection Cemetery in Piscataway. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hunterdon Hospice.
