JUNE 19, 2016 Charlie accepted my elderly father as a patient and encouraged my efforts to take care of him at home as long as I could. I was grateful for that. Now I want to say that I am very glad and grateful that Charlie had Kathy in his life. No doubt the joy she brought and her love and dedication truly enriched every day they had together. Many thanks KPC ! And my best wishes to you in the years ahead. Marianne Heenan, Yuba City

Charlie played an essential role in my life for as long as I can remember, both as a beloved family friend and, after I graduated from my pediatrician, Ted Lerch, as my doctor. In both capacities he helped me and my family through some hard times. He was always sympathetic, practical, kind, and employed a wonderful sense of humor. I send my love to Char and Steve and the whole family. Charlie was an amazing, one-of-a-kind man. The world benefited greatly from his presence. I miss him already, but I'll never forget him.

Sending heartfelt sympathy. Charlie was our dear Bartlett family friend for over 50 years-- and our family doctor for many. His caring nature, humor, and interest in each of us is what I remember most. He has left you a huge legacy filled with his life's work, his deep love of family, and his character and integrity that has influenced his community and you, his family. He was truly a great man who will be missed by so many. You are rich with memories. Cherish them- hold them close, and may the Lord help you through this difficult time. Love, Susie

I worked as a ward clerk from 1967-1970 at Rideout Hospital and on holidays when I was home from nursing school. I will never forget this man that seemed to be a bruiser but was such a warm human being. I recall he wanted to be a pathologist but was allergic to formaldehyde. How lucky for us who worked with him on the hospital wards. I will never forget him wearing a headband I made for him while I was a long term patient at Rideout (it had a peace sign...it was the 70s). It looked terrific on his bald head. He won't be forgotten.

I will always remember Dr. Clement as an awe-inspiring teacher and a truly ultraistic man. I was so very fortunate to have had the chance to do an externship with him and because of him I accelerated in my studies of allied health. I will remember his sense of humor and his amazing compassion for his patients. Dr. Clement you will be sorely missed. May God Bless You and You Family. Cynthia Gothrow

Our family would like to send our deepest sympathy to the family of Dr. Clement. What a wonderful and caring man he was. He took care of my Mom and Dad for many years. My Mom fought cancer for 5 years and he was by her side the whole time. My Dad knew Charlie from school in Colusa. He was so good to my dad and just a few days before he died, Charlie sat and held his hand....again our sincere sympathy. " A Job Well Done Dr. Clement."

I was fortunate to have both Charley Clement and Ted Lerch as my doctors while growing up. I cannot think of better physicians or role models. How lucky we were to have Charley in our community. He will be missed by all he so impressed.

I had the privilege of working with Dr. Clement at Marysville Med Group/Sutter North ~ I was scared to work wit him and was told that I would know if he liked me if he gave me a hard time or not and THANK GOD he did! He also let me go and observe an autopsy one time and was an experience I appreciated him taking the time to explain everything. He was an great doctor and person.

For two years, I lived in Grace and Dr. Clements home while attending school in Marysville. I helped with "Char" and "Stevie" and assisted in their home. They taught me so much about life and giving back and volunteering. They were my second set of parents. I have great memories of that time. I continue to volunteer - have been a prison volunteer for 48 years.
