Charles Summers Obituary
Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2011 at the age of 67 years.
Charles worked for Valley Truck and Tractor in Yuba City for 39 years, starting at the facility in 1972 thru 2011. He loved his job along with all the friends he had made over the years. Everyone knew that if they had a question about a tractor he would be the person you would go to.
Charles greatest joy in his life were his six grandchildren whom he loved to spend time with.
Charles was born on September 1, 1944 to Eldon Summers and the late Ella Mae Summers. He is preceded in death by a brother, Eldon (Bud) Summers.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Summers, his son Cory Summers (Leah) of YC, his daughter, Amanda Prater of YC, his sisters, Linda Summers of YC, Donnetta Summers of Crescent City, CA and Marjorie Hankins (Hank) of Hawaii, and his father, Eldon Summers of Olivehurst. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Ryan, (Brooke) and Kayden Summers of Savannah, GA, Heather Summers of YC, Hanna Prater and Kailey Prater of YC.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, September 30, 2011 at 2434 Eckhart Road, Yuba City, CA.

For My Papa
We are all feeling a little bit sad, that we have lost our dear Papa, our friend -- together we have cried an ocean of tears -- as we feel so empty and hold many fears -- but Papa would want us to know he is in a better place and that he is watching us with a smile on his face - as we have made him as proud as can be that he raised such a beautiful family - I feel lucky & privileged to have known Papa the memories we will treasure and keep close to our hearts - and when we look at the sky, we will look for the brightest star as that will be our Papa looking down on us-now God if it is not to much of a fuss take extra special care of Papa as he is very dear to us. Charlie was our neighbor in E. Marysville 30 years ago. He was a great neighbor and an even better friend. He was always smiling and truly enjoyed life and his family. He touched many people's lives and made the world a better place. Our deepest sympathy to Beth, Cory, Mandy and their families.

Charlie was a good man. I met him through work, and he quickly became a friend. I always enjoyed talking with him, whether it was at work, at a car show, or just running into him around town. He was certianly a fixture at 'Valley', and will be missed. My condolences go out to all the family members.
