Grace Adelaide Cook

Grace Adelaide Cook 94, of Yuba City passed away quietly surrounded by her loving daughters on April 24, 2010 at Yuba City Care Center. Born on June 28, 1915 in Visalia, California. She was a Yuba-Sutter resident for over 40 years. She has been a proud member of Native Daughters of the Golden West for over 25 years. She is a former member of Yuba City Moose Lodge and she also loved being President of the Thursday Nighters Senior Dance Group. Grace worked as a cook most of her life. Survivors include her children, Charles Perry of East Point, GA; Marcie Simmons of Yuba City, CA; Walter Perry of Livermore, CA; Rick Perry of Slidell, LA; David Cook of Sacramento, CA; and Nina Cowell of Sutter, CA. Grace is preceded in death by her husband Roy Cook and three daughters, Carol Ann Perry, Margarite Palmer & Alma Duensing. She had 9 children, 31 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great- grandchildren. Donations may be made to St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, Yuba City. A Memorial service is scheduled at 10am, Wednesday, April 28, at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, 1390 Franklin Rd. Yuba City, with the Rev. Chris Kersting officiating. Burial will be private.
