Mary Bollerud Obituary
Mary attended Notre Dame Elementary school in Marysville, CA and graduated from Yuba City High School in 1960. She attended Yuba Community College and was later employed by Wells Fargo Bank in Marysville, CA where she met Don Bollerud. They were married on September 1, 1968 by Judge William Bollerud in Durham, CA. They resided in Marysville, CA until 1974 when they moved to Durham and took over the ownership of the Bollerud family ranch where they raised English walnuts. Mary was employed by the Durham Unified School District as the Intermediate School Secretary. She and her husband, Don, moved to Paradise, CA in 2003.
Mary was always active in her community and her family. She spent countless hours at football games, basketball games, and swim meets. Mary enjoyed knitting, reading, and spending time with friends. She was an active volunteer at Feather River Hospital. She also enjoyed her book club with her friends from Durham, CA.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Ferdinand and Ann Tredway, brother John, sister Marty Bowman, and Sister Jeanette Tredway.
Mary is survived by her husband of 49 years, Don Bollerud. She is also survived by daughter Karen Blake (John) of Weiser, ID, son Hans Bollerud (Mary) of Modesto, CA, son Mike Bollerud (Julie) of Oceanside, CA, and daughter Heather Stecca (Tim) of Fair Oaks, CA. She leaves behind grandchildren Lisa Thorning, Lee Simons, Sarah DeBoer, Lydia Simons, Lindsey Bollerud, Chad Bollerud, Josie Bollerud, Joey Stecca, and Katie Stecca, as well as seven great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held on November 12, 2017 at 12:00 noon at the Chico Elks Lodge, 1705 Manzanita Ave. Chico, CA 95926.

On the anniversary death I will always cherish our times together. Swimming at my house and having grasshoppers to drink. My blender was busy and the laughter never stopped. Our jazzercize classes while our daughters made fun of us, but we didn't care. Until we meet again.

It's been many years but I remember Mary Ann well. She was an adorable, funny bundle of energy with a great "giggle" and always so much fun to be around!

Mary & I were friends for more than 40 years. I cherish all of our time together. She had a wonderful sense of humor & was a caring person. She was very thoughtful in so many ways. We were in a book club together for more than 20 years. She was an avid reader. I will miss her terribly. I will miss her giggle❤

I will always remember all our fun times in Durham. I volunteered at school as well. Our daughters were good friends connecting our friendship even more. I loved talking to Mary she always had something funny to say, she was quite the character. Until we meet again. God bless your family and prayers for comfort. Love you all.

What wonderful memories we shared for the past 61 years. I will never forget riding around Yuba City in the spring, Mary driving her Moms turquoise Buick convertible (with the top down of course, looking for the first cherry growers farm stands! She and I loved cherries.
She was so generous, funny and a wonderful friend. I will miss you. May she now Rest In Peace. Blessings to her family ....
