Brandon - Doris A. Rubin, age 93 of Brandon, SD died on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls. Funeral Services will be 10:30 AM Monday, January 4, 2021 at Brandon Lutheran Church in Brandon, SD with Public Visitation on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at George Boom Funeral Home in Sioux Falls from 3:00-5:00 PM. Grateful for sharing her life are her children, Greg (Janice) Rubin, Brandon, SD, Steve (Nancy) Rubin, Brandon, SD; Vickie Bertsch, Sioux Falls, Peggy (Larry) Snyders, Sioux Falls, and; eight grandchildren, Brian (Amanda) Rubin, Katelyn (TJ) Cameron, Hillary (Shawn) Neisteadt, Ashley (Chase) Hoffman, Haley (Travis) Park, Shontelle Johnson, Ryan (Jody) McIntyre, and Steven Bertsch; 10 great-grandchildren; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred and Hazel (May) Songstad; her husband, Clarence Rubin on April 7, 2012; grandson, Nathan Bertsch; two sisters, Anita Vosburg, Mary Bjerke; four brothers, Leonard, David, Dean, and Sheldon Songstad.

Doris was such a person so full of life and energy. I so enjoyed visiting with her and with Clarence ---several years ago in Lennox. Dori was always pleasant and a joy to know. You have my sympathy and prayers as you journey through your adjustment to your loss of your special loved one.

So sorry to hear of Dori's passing. She was one of the most pleasant, hard-working ladies I have every met. Always with a smile and something nice to say to everyone. It was a pleasure working with her for many years at Huset's Speedway.
