Jeffrey Billion Obituary

Jeffrey John Billion

Jeffrey John Billion, born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, died on August 14, 2017 in Seattle, Washington.

Jeff was a dynamic personality. His interests were as varied as he was brilliant. An archer with a crack shot, a talented chef and a fierce debater, he touched many with his infectious laugh and dry wit.

After graduating from Sioux Falls Lincoln High School and traveling to Swarthmore, PA, for college, Jeff took the road less traveled. An avid poker player, he pursued his passion professionally in Las Vegas. After trying his hand, he moved to Delaware where he regrouped and found what became his most deeply abiding professional passion, working in retail sales.

He started stocking shelves and was managing his own store by twenty-five. He parlayed that into an M.B.A. from the University of Kentucky, where he impressed his professors and peers alike with his grasp of sales and economics. He returned to retail, joining Amazon.com and rising rapidly to join the senior finance team in his division. He relocated to Seattle, where he remained until his passing.

Neither his heart, humor nor beer cheese soup recipe will ever be replicated. In all ways, he was one of a kind. He is survived by his mother Patricia, his brother Mark, his nephew Mark Jr., niece Moraya, sister in law Kristie, father Michael as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by Sam and Betty Speier and TJ and Eleanor Billion. In lieu of flowers, the family requests you send donations to a food pantry of your choice

So sorry and shocked to hear about Jeff's passing. I remember him as a warm and smart person with a quick wit. It had been years but he was someone I considered myself very lucky to call a friend. I'm so sorry for the family's loss.
