Michael Velgersdyk Obituary
Michael was born October 30, 1969 in Blair, NE to Marlan and Carol Velgersdyk. He joined his Lord on August 22, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.
Preceded in death by grandparents, John and Nellie Velgersdyk and Ralph Hulst. Survived by wife, Kristi; daughters, Taylor and Lexi; parents, Marlan and Carol of Sioux Falls, SD; brother, Scott (Lisa) of Sioux Falls, SD; sister, Pam (Doyle) Vogel of Florissant, MO; grandmother, Gertrude Hulst of Sioux Falls, SD; mother and father in-law, Jim and Lorrie Harding of Sioux Falls, SD; sister in-law, Sara (Brad) Peterson of Sioux Falls, SD and brother in-law, Brian (Danielle) Harding of Cincinnati, OH; nieces and nephews, Jared, Ryan, Kaylyn, Derek, Christopher, and Madelyn and many friends. Memorials suggested to Horizons Community Church Youth Programs and Camp Sonshine of Nebraska.
VISITATION Friday, August 25, 2017 from 6-8pm at Horizons Community Church 3200 Grainger Pkwy Lincoln, NE.
GRAVESIDE SERVICE Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 10:00am Lincoln Memorial Park (meet at Gate 2) 6700 S. 14th Street Lincoln, NE.

I am so incredibly sorry to hear about Mike's passing. Although we lost contact after Mike went off to college, he was a wonderful friend to me and many others during high school. I heard that he had gotten married and had children and was so happy for him, knowing that was one of the things that he most looked forward to in life, even when he was in high school. May you find comfort in your memories, and may God bless you during this extremely difficult time.
