Delmar Skeen

1936 - 2025

Delmar D. Skeen, 89, passed away peacefully on August 25, 2025, in Fruitland, Idaho.
Born on April 29, 1936, Delmar attended Ontario Elementary and graduated from Ontario High School. Delmar met Evelyn Parton the love of his life at the roller skating rink in Ontario. They married on July 8th 1956 and celebrated 69 years of marriage. He dedicated over three decades of his career to Farmers Supply Co-op, where he was a valued and dependable presence.
Delmar proudly served in the National Guard and was a devoted member of the Community of Christ Church in New Plymouth, Idaho. Known for his honesty, kindness, and generosity, he was deeply committed to community service and was always ready with a warm hug for those around him.
He found joy in fishing, traveling, and reading-pastimes that reflected his appreciation for nature, exploration, and learning.
Delmar is lovingly remembered by his wife, Evelyn L. Skeen; daughters Debra Hawker (Derry), Sherry Maupin, Deanna Hancock (Vern), and Linda Skeen; as well as many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister Kathy Micheli. He was preceded in death by his son Dan Skeen, his parents, and numerous siblings.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Lienkaemper Funeral Chapel, 78 NW 1st Ave., Ontario, Oregon.
Delmar's legacy of love and service will continue to inspire all who knew him. May his memory bring comfort and peace to those whose lives he touched.
