Elizabeth Hawlk Obituary

ATHENS - Elizabeth (Betty) W. Hawlk passed on Feb. 23 at age 92 at The Laurels of Athens. Born May 16, 1924 in Willow Cove, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Eleanor and Lewis Walther.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Hawlk (January 30, 2006), her brothers and their wives, Lewis (Dorothy), Edwin (Miriam), William (Eve), and Robert (Margaret).
She is survived by a daughter, Deborah Ross; granddaughters, Jamaica Ross and Morgan Price; a great-grandson, Daniel; a godchild, Nancy Walther Kohler; and several nieces and nephews.
Betty was a member of Athens First United Methodist Church.
There will be no calling hours as Betty's body was donated to the Heritage Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine Willed Body Program.
Betty was a loving and caring woman and will be missed dearly by her family and many friends.
If desired, memorial donations may be made to Ohio Health Home Care of Athens, 444 W. Union Street, Suite C, Athens, Ohio 45701 or to the Athens First United Methodist Church, 23 North College Street, Athens, Ohio 45701.
