William Sayre Obituary

THE PLAINS - William Foster Sayre, 58, of The Plains, Ohio, passed away April 29, 2017, at his residence.
William was born Jan. 3, 1959, in Nelsonville, Ohio, to Foster and Shirley Sayre. He was an avid chess player, liked to play golf, and loved baseball and football.
He is survived by his sons, Adam Foster (Laura) Sayre of Jacksonville and Ryan William (Tabby) Sayre of Nelsonville; stepchildren, Shawn Riley of Nelsonville, Eric Fussner of Jacksonville, Stacy Fussner of North Carolina, Tonya Fussner of California, and Carrie Fussner of Crooksville; grandchildren, Clayton, Colton, Gwynadele, Elli Mae, Kenna, Ian, Addison, Emma and Braden; several stepgrandchildren: sisters, Carol Kerr of Rittman, Ohio, Mary Slater of Athens, and Georgia Jewell of Athens; and special friends, J.R. Kerns and Chuck Buckley, both of The Plains.
William was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Phyllis Bennett, Jean Botts, Barb Duncan, and infant brother Robert Sayre.
Arrangements are by Warren-Brown Funeral Home. Donations can be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
