Harriet Josselson Obituary

JOSSELSON, Harriet

Mrs. Harriet Lynn Josselson, 83, of Cumming, Georgia, passed away on Monday, August 18, 2025.

She was born July 30, 1942 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Viola Davis and David Scher. She graduated from the University of Cincinnati Art School. She was a hard-working employee with Rich's Cuisinart demonstrator, a service representative for Satelink, purchaser for Unifood and finally ending her career as a YMCA site director. Harriet also acted as president of the National Council of Jewish Women. She was also a founding member of both Temple Emanu-El in Sandy Springs and Temple Beth Tikvah in Roswell. She enjoyed Mahjongg, cooking, studying art and being a grandmother.

In addition to her parents, Harriet was preceded in death by her son, David Josselson; and sister, Arlene Goldhoff. She is survived by her husband, Jerry Josselson; children, Brian (Rachelle) Josselson and Marc (Nicole) Josselson; grandchildren, Victoria (Tori), Jordan, Emily, Jenna, Justice and Isabella "Bella" Josselson.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025, 11:00 AM at Arlington Memorial Park, 201 Mount Vernon Highway, Sandy Springs, Georgia 30328.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in the memory of Harriet Josselson to the Dementia Society of America.
