Family-Placed Death Notice
Mr. Matthew Waddell Wilson, 53, entered into rest on Wednesday, May 31, 2006 at MCG Medical Center. A memorial service will held on Saturday, June 3, 2006 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Hatcher, Chance & Hydrick Funeral Directors with Dr. C. Don Manning officiating. Burial will be private at a later date. Survivors include his parents, Earl and Polly Wilson of Augusta; brother, Robert Wilson and his wife Anita of Roswell, GA; sister Lydia Belger of Augusta; nephews Jason Peters and his wife Niki and Roger Belger. Mr. Wilson was a native of Augusta. He was a General Contractor and a US Air Force veteran. He attended First Christian Church. If so desired memorials may be made to the Restoration Fund at First Christian Church, 629 Greene Street, Augusta, GA 30901. I wish to express my deepest condolences to the family of Matt Wilson. It was many years ago that as a young girl I met Lydia's brother. I recall watching Matt through the window as he played basketball behind his home on Pate Avenue. I cannot know the pain his family is experiencing, yet my heart is deeply saddened for his loved ones. Please accept my heart felt sympathy and my continued prayers.
