My parents, John and Eleanor, gave me the gift of 2 unrelated godparents and chose so well in both. As a godmother, Zu did everything the term godmother idealizes.
She also made the absolute BEST cheese grits, and made an absolute mess of the kitchen when she did - hope it's okay to say that!

To Sister & M.C., We had all kinds of times for so long and I wish I were there to talk with you. I had really wanted to swell the throng in honor of your mother at the church-- I so wanted to be there. She was a true Godmother and more to me, taking me in so many times and for long lengths of time. I love you all and can't stop all the movies running behind my eyelids whether they are open or shut. I hope there is still a lot to say between us. With Much Love, Caryl
