Sally McAFEE Obituary

McAFEE, Sally Ann Sally Ann Cordon McAfee, age 86, of Atlanta, Georgia passed away peacefully on January 5, 2014. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Stanley Ketron McAfee Jr. Sally Ann is survived by her two sons and their spouses, Stanley Ketron McAfee, III and Lisa Young McAfee of Lexingtion, SC; John Cordon McAfee and Wendi Wood McAfee of Atlanta; four grandchildren, Stanley K. McAfee IV, Charles Edwin McAfee, Cornelius "Corley" Thomas, and Ann Randolph "Andi" McAfee. Sally Ann was born in Louisville, Kentucky on June 30th, 1927, the daughter of Joseph Palamountain Cordon and Averitt Shouse Cordon. She was a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Sally Ann and Stan were married in Louisville, on February 11, 1950. She was an extremely loving mother for her sons, and a truly devoted wife to Stan. The family takes great comfort that she left this earth to meet him on his birthday to celebrate it together. Sally Ann loved her time in Lake Toxaway, NC, her golf, volunteering, and socializing with her many friends. She will be sorely missed, and was loved by all who knew her. The family will receive friends Friday January 10, 2014 at 10:00am at H.M. Patterson & Son Spring Hill Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am with interment at Arlington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shepherd Center, 2020 Peachtree Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30309. Online condolences may be made at hmpattersonspringhill.com
