I was saddened to read of Don's passing. He & I first met in 1978 in Savannah when I began working in the international shipping business and he was with Brown Transport. During the next 20 years I came in contact with him often, both in Savannah and Atlanta. Don conducted business not only honestly and intelligently, but in a very friendly and soft spoken manner. To his family, please accept my condolences on your loss.

To the Family of Don Croft,
Our hearts are filled with sadness at your loss of Don better know to us only as (Papa). We can only imagine the pain you feel now but we wanted to let you know that our loving thoughts are with you all. He was a jewel among us, always giving us a shining example of kindness and caring. We loved the times we shared with Don and Juanita. Don was the kind of person you enjoyed to be around .We know he loved his family very deeply and everyone will miss him terribly.I hope it helps to have the reassurance that Don and Juanita are together and we will see them again one day.
With our deepest sympathy,
God Bless

I worked with Don for several years at Transus and came to love and respect him very much. He was always a true gentleman and treated everyone in the same manner whether you were in management or just sweeping the floor. He loved wearing sweaters and looked so dapper in them. We have certainly missed him in the past few years and will always remember his smile and quick wit.
