AUBURN - Lance Gummerson, 64, of Auburn, passed away July 24, 2019, at Strong Memorial Hospital.
Born in Auburn on Jan. 26, 1955, Lance was the son of the late Charles and Lucille Quinn Gummerson. He was the owner of Pour Lances Coffee and Water Service in Auburn and the former Spinouts Tavern. Lance was involved in various golf and dart leagues in the area and the Stanton Automatics pool league. He was a member of the Chamber of Commerce and a proud sponsor of Auburn's infamous crow shoot. He was a NASCAR fan and an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing. Above all, he was passionate about his family and friends.
Lance is survived by his siblings, Craig (Linda) Gummerson, Ellen Fiorenzo, and Al Gummerson; his niece, Ashley (Nick) Granato; his nephews, Eric (Brandy) Gummerson and Marc Gummerson; his great-nieces; his very special friend, Jane Blackman; and close friend and business partner, Larry Hilmire.
Along with his parents, Lance was predeceased by his sister, Charla Gummerson; his brother, Bret Gummerson, and his nephew, Sean Gummerson.
Calling hours for Lance will be held from noon to 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 28, at White Chapel Funeral Home Inc., 197 South St., Auburn. A service will immediately follow calling hours at 4 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Finger Lakes SPCA of CNY, 41 York St., Auburn, NY 13021.
