NEW PORT RICHEY, FL - Maureen (O'Hora) Patterson, 73, passed away on September 30, 2021, at the home she shared in New Port Richey, FL with her companion and fiance of over 25 years, Bernie Edwards.

After returning to Auburn with her son, Paull, she worked for over fifteen years at TRW Automotive, which she wrly referred to as "The Real World". Thanks for the opportunity to remember Maureen. I poured a vodka on the rocks for my old friend. Here goes.
I met Maureen when we were 12 years old and she was the queen bee of Camp Columbus. Everyone was drawn to the energy she radiated. Through high school, the door at Stella and Eddie O'Hora's house was always open to hordes of us. A bunch of us rented camps on Owasco Lake in the summers. Don't all 15-year-olds rent camps with no chaperones? How did we pull that off?
After high school, she was gone - to New York City, to Europe, to California - her hippie energy taking her out to the edge of adventures. She nabbed a job in sales at Henri Bendel's in New York around 1967 - amazing. She managed to get us out of a very scary downtown Detroit one 4 a.m. in the summer of 1968.
She was smart and a hard worker. She did love Alaska where she worked for the phone company and was an active union steward. Then she was back home in Auburn and we shared countless great nights at Spirits and birthday dinners with Cindy, Valerie, Jack, Janet and Joanne.
I will miss her energy and her phone calls and her unfailing optimism. Thanks for sharing your life with me, MoMo. Peace out, old friend...

Mo-Mo will always be one of my most cherished friends. Over the years we had many adventures together, both locally and in travels across the US. She taught me to be more spontaneous and to live in the moment. Her annual Halloween parties were unprecedented! She had the kindest, most loving, soul and she will always be my "hippie friend"... love you, Mo-Mo

Mike, Melinda and family -
I am so saddened to hear of Maureen's passing. I have so many wonderful memories of her, as well the O'Hora and Kott families. I worked at Eddie's on the weekends and summers from my junior year at Mt. Carmel through my 2 years at ACC, and it was always a treat when Maureen came to work. I have one very special memory of her. While at Kent State University, Maureen surprised me with a weekend visit; it was a fun memorable 3 day party! Maureen will always remain in my mind and memory as a young, beautiful, spirited, kind, loving person. Her memory will live on.

Condolences to Maureen's family and friends. Went to school with her at Carmel and actually lived 20 minutes from her in Florida. Wish I had known she lived here.
