Patricia Kimble Obituary

AUBURN - Pat had just happily celebrated her 89th birthday on July 8, 2017. This was especially meaningful since she was in the Commons Rehabilitation Facility due to a fall on Mother's Day, which resulted in a broken hip.

Born and raised in the Pocono Mountains area of Pennsylvania, her mother Cora Bush died when she was just an infant. Stepping in to help raise her and her brothers, James and Arthur, were her Aunt Ada Banks and her grandmother, Carrie Banks. When she was 12 years old, her father married Blanche Magill. They added a brother, Harry, to the family.

Pat attended Tacoma Academy and Washington Missionary College, dropping out of nurse's training to marry Julius (Hap) Botelho. After three children, she returned to college and obtained her teaching degree. She then taught in a one room Amish school, several Seventh Day Adventist elementary schools, and later 5th and 6th grade math and science in the public school system. Hap and Pat enjoyed snowmobiling, travel and "life on the lake" in Holland, Massachusetts. They also enjoyed their home in Port Charlotte, Florida.

In her retirement, she met and married Thomas Kimble. They enjoyed traveling the country for Alcatel, where he supervised the placement of microwave towers. They also played cards with friends and many rounds of golf.

She leaves a huge hole in the hearts of her children, Patricia (Tish) and Gary Williams of Westmont, Illinois, Julie (Angel) and Gary Hunt of Union Springs, and Julius (Bob) and Nancy Botelho of Redlands, California; grandchildren include Jeff Botelho, Tony (Kristin) Troncoso, Hope and Terry Dahlin, Bobby Botelho and Mike Norris. Brendon and Emma were her great-grandchildren and Gloria, her new "grand-dog" whom she never got to meet. Also missing her will be nieces, nephews, many loving members of her Seventh Day Adventist Church family and and a special "daughter" Colleen Carter. Her surviving brother, Harry, resides in Willow, Alaska with his wife Jamie.

Pat was a life-long member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church and served in many capacities over the years. Her favorite was to conduct Bible education classes, either in the church setting or with private individuals. She loved her Savior and was always willing to encourage others to know and love Him as well.
