Interment will be private. Born in Aiken, S.C., she was a daughter of the late Bennie and Bessie Herndon Padgett. She was a Homemaker and attended Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church. Surviving are a son, Michael Padgett, North Augusta, S.C.; daughter, Amanda DeRome, Detroit, MI; sisters, Rose Abbott, Beech Island, SC and Mary Purvis, Langley, S.C.; brothers, Phillip Padgett, Bath, S.C., Johnny Padgett, Langley, S.C., Michael Padgett, North Augusta, S.C., and Woodrow Padgett, Langley, S.C.; and a grandson, Nikai Andre DeRome, Detroit, MI.
