Jerry Conley Obituary
He was born in Augusta, GA but lived in New York for over 52 years. He was the son of the late Sarah Mae Conley Kenner and Jerry Luke of Augusta.
He is survived by one sister, Glenda Faye Caldwell; one niece, Aliyah Caldwell; two nephews, She`zan Caldwell and Javaka (Decnices) Caldwell all of Augusta, GA; one aunt, Mattie Bell Kemp of Beech Island, SC.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. from Good Shepherd Baptist Church Chapel, 1714 Olive Road, Reverend Clarence Moore, pastor.

In the 70's we where the best of friends. He took me under his wing. He taught me a lot about living. He was classy in everything he did. He was a kind man. I will never forget him. I remember our walks to Baskin Robbins for Ice Cream. The waits for the cakes that were bakes by Jerry's mom. They were delivered from Georgia. It was a very big thing. Many great conversations and I always wanted him to sing "Miss Otis Regrets, she unable to lunch today." I was at his side when he performed at a Staten Island College. The play was called "The Blacks."
The fashion show. The old clubs in Harlem. He didn't drink but we were everywhere. I have lost a piece of my life.
