Our family feels greatly blessed to have had the gentle and dear presence of Maybell in our lives. She was a gem, a treasure. unfailingly and generously kind,a beautiful Christian lady. We spoke of her as 'Sister Maybell' because she was so much a part of the life of the Sisters of St. Helena also, and we lived adjacent to the convent in the 1970s. A photo of Sister Maybell with Sister Clare has hung in our home since that time. It was wonderful to see Maybell again, joyous and full of smiles, at Sister Clare's 100th birthday.

Maybell worked for me for many years. I felt that she was like a sister to me. My heart aches that she is gone from us, but right now she is celebrating her new life with Jesus himself and her son who died so many years ago. She was not only a great employee, bu was a wise woman indeed and she taught me many things. Love to all the kids. God bless you and may you keep her wisdom going. Dear Doug, Melvin & The Entire Williams Family,

To the family of our beloved Mrs. Maybell Williams, the Sisters of St. Helena have been remembering her and all her loved ones in our prayers. She was an intimate part of our daily life for 50 years, and what a blessing she was! Her beautiful soul and spirit made a difference in the life of each sister who came to the Augusta convent. Her work and presence among us were a powerful witness to her faith and a great comfort to many of us. We have been sharing some memories over the past few days of Ms. Maybell and Sr. Clare, with the newer sisters. Several of our sisters no longer have the stamina to come for the funeral--Sr. Cintra, Sr. Cornelia, Sr. Ruth among others; and Sr. Rosina is in Ghana--but many of us plan to be present for her "Home-Going" service. We loved her dearly and miss her still. She is counted among our saints. Blessings for each of her beloved family members.

To The Family,
I hope you know how much we love Maybell/Mrs.Maybell for me. My Mom and she were friends from elementary school.
I am so thankful Mom and Ms. Maybell could sit right next to each other on her birthday celebration.

Dear Melvina and Helen,
Maybell has been very dear to me ever since I met her...perhaps in the mid-60's. She was a woman of great integrity, kindness, and ability. The sisters in St. Helena's convent loved her very much and she loved all of us...especialluy Sr. Clare. Now they will be together!
I am honored and blessed to have known her. I wil always miss Maybell...and look forward to seeing her again one day!
May she rejoice and rest in peace.

Douglas, Melvin, Melvina, and all the others that I dare attempt naming, I am so very sorry for the loss of your mother and my heartfelt condolence goes out to each of you. Mother Maybell and you, her children, has been like a family to me for more than 50 years, therefore this moment and time, I am deeply saddened, but we know that God only plucks the choiciest of all his flowers to occupy space in his vineyard. Mother Maybell is now resting in peace in the space God held only for her. May God Bless each of her family members and friends, as my heart reaches out to touch all of you; Peace, Love, and Comfort.

Mrs. Maybell walked into my life about 9 years ago. I treasured our conversations about life, she was truly a woman with wisdom. I will miss her, but I know that she is where she wants to be... with GOD. My condolences to her family and mine.
