Please accept our deepest sympathies.

I only had a few brief moments of spending time near Uncle Perley when I was very young but my impressions were that he was someone who would be easily liked by anyone that he came in contact with.

I'm sorry that my husband never had an opportunity to meet him I think they could have shared a lot of common military experiences.

So sorry about your loss. Uncle Perley was a very special person to all of us and will be sadly missed. I was so glad to see him this last time he was in Vermont and got to introduce him to his Great Nephew Craig. He will be missed very much but at least he is no longer suffering and we all have very fond memories of him. My prayers and thoughts are with you at this time.

I waited for others to sign the book first. I wasn't sure what to say. I have been so busy that I wanted a little time to rest and think. So many have gone to the other side, and living so far away I do not get the chance to say my last respects until another day. I was lucky to see some of my uncles and aunts before they past away but not Uncle Perley and I know I will regret that. I am sorry for your loss and I wish I could just give you a big hug. I know with so many on the other side their must have been a lot of joyful tears when Uncle Perley arrived. I thought about a poem that talks about how their is no more pain and how it's not the end but (Uncle Perley's) first eternal day. I know he will miss you so much as you will miss him and that he will aways be with you.

I know that one day we will all be together again.

Dear Joy and Candace,

It’s hard to know how to express my sorrow for the loss of your sweet, sweet Daddy. We girls hold our Fathers in a special place in our heart. We know they can’t live forever, but we never think they’ll die. As you try to figure out how to live without him, try to remember all those precious moments of life with him. And it helps to remember the gentle smiles and warm hugs he gave when something upset you and you needed the understanding that only a Father could provide. He sends that to you now. He holds you now. And he’ll be with you - always – I promise. All my love, Ginga
