Rodriquez Washington Obituary

DSM Chemical Co. Employee HEPHZIBAH, Ga. - Mr. Rodriquez L. Washington, Sr. of Harwood Street entered into rest on Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at University Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Thankful Baptist Church with Rev. Robert L. Turner and Rev. Nathaniel Dunn officiating. Burial will be at Walker Memorial Park. Mr. Washington, a native of Augusta, was a member of Thankful Baptist church where he served on the Trustee Board and with Laymen's Ministry. While serving in the U.S. Marin Corp he was awarded a Rifle Expert Badge and a National Defense Service Medal. He was employed by DSM Chemical as a chemical operator/warehouse. Survivors are his wife, Karen C. Washington; one son, Rodriquez Washington, Jr.; two daughters, Sharika Washington, Seattle, Wash., Crystal Gowdy, Augusta; four sisters, Angela Holt, Detroit, Mich., Veta Washington, Donna Washington, Veronica Washington, Augusta; five brothers, Reginald Washington, Artie Ray (Shedrikia) Washington, Theophilus Moss, Vittirio (Joyce) Washington, Demtere Washington, Augusta; father-in-law, Lindsey Carpenter, Jr., Augusta; beloved uncle, William (Willie Mae) Moss, Augusta; nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. Mrs. Washington we are very very sorry to about your loss. we had only known your family a few weeks but you and your family made us feel like family and we truly are gonna miss talking to him.
