Yancey Desmond Obituary

KEYSVILLE, Ga. - Mrs. Yancey Alma Desmond, 95, died on Thursday, August 2, 2012. She was a resident of St. Clair Community for many years. Along with her husband, Mrs. Desmond worked many years in food management services at several large hotels in Miami Beach, FL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nick Desmond; her parents, Mr. S.D. Hodge Swint and Mrs. Dessie Marie Swint Hamlett. Survivor is her sister, Mary Swint Robinson, formerly of Augusta. Graveside services will be Monday, August 6 at 10am at Mill Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Gibson. Rev. Billy Carroll will officiate. Both Mr. and Mrs. Desmond were grateful for the help provided by Mr. Billy Stewart during their declining years. DeLoach-McKerley Funeral Home & Cremation Service (706-554-3531). May God Bless you and keep you during this difficulty time. I took care of her at Burke Medical Ctr Hosp, she was a real sweet person and I enjoyed working with her.
