Alfred Dame Obituary

Alfred Oscar Dame Jr., 66, beloved husband and father, of Gilbert, AZ, passed away at home after a long and courageous battle with cancer on September 13, 2007. Al was born in Portland, Maine on April 20, 1941. He retired after serving 27 years with the United States Air Force, including a tour in Vietnam. He is survived by Brenda, his wife of 42 years, his son Alfred "Fred" Dame III of Apache Junction, Arizona, daughter Monica Dame (Vince) of Mesa, Arizona, and his faithful four-legged companion "Olive". Also surviving are three brothers Bill Dame of Yarmouth, Maine, Bob Dame of Springfield, Oregon, George Dame of South Windham, Maine, and one sister Dorothy "Dot" Burnham of Gorham, Maine. He is preceded in death by his parents Alfred and Naomi Dame, one brother Tom Dame and one sister Arlene Brehart. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Falconer Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ, 85014 (www.hospiceofthevalley.org)
