Oh Barbara, the years have not dulled my memories or the pain of losing you. Energy, I´ve read, never dies. I get some comfort knowing that your energy is out there still, radiating kindness and joy.

Missing you more each year.
The love and Relationship we shared was incredible.
I remember we went to opening night of the performance of hair at the Herberger. We had dinner in one of the five amazing restaurants nearby and sat in the front row. Barbara, we had so many amazing experiences together and I flow through the memories every single day. I love you.

10-21-23 - Dearest Barbara, You have been gone from our sight for ten years, but you will never be forgotten. Your distinctive life will be forever celebrated. I will always be grateful to have known someone so wonderful, so bright and so easy to love as you. After we met in the late 70s our connection was immediate and never with any breaks. Each of the memories of times we shared -- from challenges [fortunately, without any friction between us] to the laughs -- I will cherish until the end of my days. There is indeed a fine line between grief and gratitude. And love does remain. ~ M.A.

10-21-21 - Dear Dear Barbara, As I knew would be the case from the moment I got to know you, from the moment we lost you, you have often been in my thoughts...reminiscing about you, missing you, imagining our chats...nearly every day. And naturally you are even closer in my thoughts today, the anniversary of your birth. As I think about you, two truths still stand: I am very sad that you are no longer physically in our world, but I am very thankful that you were born and that we got to "share some time in the sun." I know these truths will always be.
I affectionately celebrate your life every day, but especially on October 21st.

Barb and I were married on November 11, 1996. We went our separate ways in 2007. I will always love her, and my time with her is a cherished memory and spiritual highlight in my life. Beautiful, brilliant, talented, devoted and always positive; she was respected and loved by all who knew her. I was so very fortunate to have known the love and light of this wonderful soul. 10-21-15.
So fitting that only days ago I came across a couple of other photos taken of you, Randee and me in New York's Central Park and on the subway. We look so over-the-top happy to be sharing the City together...and what special memories we created. I can't believe that you've been gone two years and it makes me sad how very much I and everyone else who loves you, miss you. But at the same time, I'm grateful for October 21, 1952 and that you and I were able to participate in the journey with a good mix of adventures, discussions, laughter and unique experiences. I know you'll always be close in my thoughts, but along with the hurt in my heart, there will also be love...and gratitude that I knew someone as outstanding as you.

10-21-14. It's your birthday, Barb! Whenever October 21 would roll around, I'd be looking for some way to connect with you to let you know how much I appreciate you & your "specialness," as well as our long-time friendship. Now that we can no longer have exchanges, it will have to be one-sided, but the feelings remain nonetheless. I am so lucky that we got to be friends at KTVK "back in the day" and that we got to subsequently work together in Creative Services, further developing our close bond. I had hoped that there would be more projects, adventures and laughs to share, but sadly that was not to be. Your time on earth was all too brief, but oh what a difference you made in so many ways. I celebrate the day you were born...I celebrate you and that our lives intersected like they did. I greatly miss the chats, the laughter, and all the joy that you brought to my life, but I'm thankful that we got to tell each other what was in our hearts even through your final days. May peace be yours eternally....
with much love,
M.A.

Nearly one year ago, in this guest book, I noted that I would forever miss my dear friend, Barbara. And more than ever, it is true. Not a day goes by that there isn't either a random memory and/or direct reminder that hits me...or there are thoughts that make me pause to consider, relating to Barb. I feel certain that there will continue to be countless times when I will wish I could share a laugh or the latest news with her or there will be a topic that will make me wonder (or guess) what words she would use to express herself. This world just isn't the same without her. She will always have an extra special place in my heart, and I will *forever* tenderly cherish my memories of her that have spanned the decades. ~ M.A.

Barbara and I were in love in the early 70's. We shared a deep tender relationship. I wish that I'd been a more mature fellow then, but we were just kids and of course we moved along in our lives. Barbara and I made a home together for around 3 years as I recall and we shared many wonderful adventures. I've never forgotten her, and even yesterday, I was thinking of her. Last night I learned of her passing. I remember well her brother Frank, the arrival of Loc Tan, and weekend visits with Barbara's mother Skip. We all had great and happy times together. I am saddened to learn of the passage of all of them, but especially dear Barbara. She was a tender and happy spirit, and a very important person in my young life. I will never forget her, and all of her family.

So what's in life well lived? I am told "no regrets" but I do have one here with you dearest Barb.
Dear Barb, I wish I had taken more time to spend with you. I had no idea how much involved you were in Phoenix and dedicated to so much. I thank your close friends for a wonderful obit. It is obvious you will be missed.
May you rest in peace.

I considered Barbara one of my closest friends. The hole in my heart with her passing will never be completely healed. She touched lives, deeply. We should all aspire to be more like our precious friend.

My deepest sympathies for your loss. May God's Word strengthen you during this difficult time. For he will deliver the poor one crying for help, also the afflicted one and whoever has no helper. He will feel sorry for the lowly one and the poor one, And the souls of the poor ones he will save. Psalms 72:12, 13 Candy Phoenix,AZ
