Bruce Doering Obituary

Bruce Carlton Doering, 75, of Scottsdale, AZ died Tuesday, November 28 at The Hospice of The Valley in Scottsdale, AZ. Born in Elkhart, IN, August 9, 1931, the son of the late Earl and Marjorie Swinehart Doering and brother of the late David Doering. A graduate of Indiana University in 1954, he served as a First Lieutenant in the USMC. He worked as a manufacture's rep and founded a very successful firm, Bruce Doering Ltd. Bruce was a competitive athlete when younger and later greatly enjoyed playing golf and the friendships he developed while a member of Exmoor Country Club, in Highland Park, IL and The Boulders Country Club in Scottsdale. His love of sports provided him many hours of entertainment as a fan of professional golf, major league football and basketball. Bruce and his wife enjoyed traveling throughout the world and entertaining friends and family at home. He is survived by his loving wife Laurelle, four daughters, Deborah Bellini of Los Angeles; Cindy Weaver and husband Roger of Chicago; Kathy Hatchett and husband Derrick of Los Angeles; Lyn Isensee and husband Dean of Chicago, step-daughter Jan Shapiro and husband Robert of Atlanta and step-son Stephen Tilker and wife Chris of Chicago; grandchildren Marissa, Hanna and Gabriel Bellini, Todd and Kayle Kantareck; Olivia and Simon Doering; Aaron and Michael Shapiro and Matthew and Brian Tilker. He will be greatly missed by all of his family and many dear friends. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, December 11 at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona. In lieu of flowers please make donations to The Hospice of the Valley, or The Mohammed Ali Parkinson's Research Center.
