Dan Horton Obituary
Memorial services for Dan Horton, 54 of Peoria, AZ, formerly of Lubbock, will be 10:00 today at the Oakwood Baptist Church in Lubbock with Reverend Marcus Murphy officiating. Dan died Thursday March 15th in Arizona. Daniel Ray Horton was born on May 14, 1957 in Fairbanks, Alaska to Donald W. and Betsy J. Horton. Dan graduated from Monterey High School in 1975. He later attended the University of New Mexico where he graduated with an Associates Degree in Business. Dan was a successful salesman in the golf industry and an avid golfer and sportsman. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Horton; son, Daniel Horton and wife Megan; Daniel's mother, Dana Horton; parents, Donald and Betsy Horton. Dan is also survived by brothers Gary Horton and wife Celia and their son, Garret; Roy Horton and wife Amanda and their children, Jacob, Joshua, and Bailey Grace; sister, Gina Mann and husband, Kirk and their children, Ryan, Kyle, and Rachael. He has an extended family that loved and will miss him.

Dan lived across the street from us for awhile in Goodyear, AZ. We were all very saddened to hear the news of his passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family.

I'm so sad to hear of Danny's passing. The memories I have of Danny are so great. He was so much fun! We dated our junior yr. in school, so I know about that fast trash truck. LOL He was always the debonaire gentleman and oh so dashing. I see by his picture that he still has those same good looks that he did when he was sixteen. oooooooo...k Remember him saying OK, that way? My prayers are with all his family.

Danny was a great friend. I hate that we lost track of each other over the years. So many great memories! Ever seen a 16 year old, late for a date, driving a trash truck 75 mph? I have! So sorry to hear of his passing. My prayers to all who loved and will miss him.
