David Schmidt Obituary

David Hans Schmidt 47, died at his home in Phoenix, Arizona on September 27, 2007. David was born in Rochester, MN. May 27, 1960. He graduated from Dover-Eyota High School in Minnesota in 1978. David served in the Army, 82nd Airborne division for 3 years, honorably discharged in 1981. He then attended and graduated from Augsburg College and also attended Bowling Green State University for graduate courses in Philosophy. David was an avid, decorated runner, accomplishing many national marathons during his life. He moved to Phoenix in late 1985 and started DHS Public Relations in 1987, which he owned and operated at the time of his death. David is survived by his parents Fred & Darlene Schmidt, twin brother Doug (and his wife Linda) and younger brother Bill (and his wife Tammy), all from Rochester, MN. David is also survived by his two young daughters Kelsey and Kassidy Schmidt and the mother of his three children, Janice Olson of Phoenix. David and Janice shared their lives together until late 1998. David was preceded in death by their son Benjamin, who died in 1993. Private memorial services were held in Minnesota on September 30, 2007 and in Phoenix on October 7, 2007. Memorial contributions and donations can be made for benefit of David's two daughters Kelsey and Kassidy Schmidt, at any Bank of America- Arizona account # 457005078127.

Peace to you, your family, your children and their mother. I knew your family well-through good and bad times. Your girls are amazing and I'm certain their mom will keep raising them the way she has. Be proud man, they are great kids-mom's done well. Rest in Peace.
