Elizabeth McArthur Obituary

Elizabeth B. McArthur, 84, died Friday September 2nd at her residence in Tempe after a long illness. She was born in Fredonia, Kansas the daughter of the late Frank and Blance (Skaggs) Brockway. She attended local schools and graduated nursing school in Kansas City, Kansas. Mrs. McArthur was formerly of the Avondale/Goodyear area. She was a Registered Nurse and retired after working at the Maricopa County Hospital for 25 years. She loved her family and was an active member of the Needle Wielders Group at the Pyle Center in Tempe. She is survived by a daughter Jerie Butler of Tempe, a son James McArthur of Wickenburg, 4 grandsons and 5 great-grandaughters. Memorial services will be held Thursday September 8 at 1:00 PM at Carr Tenney Mortuary Chapel, 2621 S. Rural Rd; Tempe, AZ. (Donations may be made in her memory to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St; Phoenix, AZ 85014.
