Frances Scrivano Wheat

Frances Wheat Obituary

Frances Scrivano Wheat, passed away on January 27, 2008. We mourn the loss of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who died the morning of January 27, 2008 at the age of 85 after a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease. Frances was born in Cleveland, Ohio, December 22, 1922. She moved to Phoenix in 1944, where she soon fell in love and married Leo Peter Wheat, the boy next door, just home from the Navy and WWII. Frances was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years. Frances was happiest when surrounded by her children and large, loving extended family. We all will miss her terribly; the way she loved us unconditionally, gave everything she had without question, inspired us and helped us learn how to make our way in life. She will be lovingly remembered by her children and their spouses, Lenore and Ron Walters, Linda and Tom Volhein, Gary and Suzanne Wheat, Brian Wheat and Laure Ebel, and her grandchildren, Lori, Bill, Jessica, Rebecca, Steven, Amy and Adam, and her great-grandchildren, Cody, Tommy, Hannah, Joshua, Zachery, Devin, Grace, Ethan, Nicolas, Giselle, Sydney and Autumn. Her inspiration and loving goodness will live forever in our hearts. A memorial reception will be held Saturday, February 2, 2008.

I'm very sorry that aunt Frances has passed away. I have very fond memories of her especially from when I was a child and spent the night many times with my cousins Linda and Lenore. We had so much fun. Aunt Frances was very tolerant of our silly little plays that we made her and Grandma Rose sit through. Much love to everyone.
