Gilbert Preciado Obituary
58, of Superior, AZ passed away on May 7, 2014 in Mesa, Arizona. Billy was retired from Boeing, where he was a Mechanical Engineer. He was an active member in the community of Superior, from 1995-2001 he served in the capacity of town Councilmember, Vice Mayor and Mayor for the Town of Superior. He enjoyed coaching girls softball for the Superior Unified School District and the Superior Little League. He was a founding member of the Superior Optimist Club. Billy was well known for his generosity with his time and resources to help the youth and those in need everywhere he went. He is survived by his wife of 35 years Marcella "Chella" Preciado, daughters Desi, Angel, Mikee Preciado and Daya Silvas, a granddaughter, Aubry Preciado, his sister JoAnn Besich and dozens of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Gilbert "Chino" & Mickey Preciado. A celebration of life was held at the original Superior High School on Tuesday, May 13, 2014.

He always smiled,greeted everyone graciously,made you laugh with his humor no matter how he was feeling. Billy taught me how to drive in high school. He was patient,calm & made everything look easy!Everytime I hit a curb ithink of him! He will be greatly missed by everyone. Chella, you had a beautiful husband and he will always be a part of you in his wonderful legacy of Angel, Desi,& Mikee. May he rest with the angels now.

Dearest Chella & Family,
My sincerest condolences to you, and my thoughts and prayers are with you.
Chella - Though many years have passed (though it seems like just yesterday), I have great memories of growing up with you both during our school years that will always be a part of me and in my heart. Billy had a great heart, and I'll always remember his great smile and wonderful laugh (as well as yours - everyone always remembers that about you both). I know this is a great loss to you all, but you had all these years together - you were blessed.
