Irma Bauer Obituary
Irma Elizabeth Bauer, 81, died May 12, 2015 in Phoenix. She was born in Chicago, IL on April 24, 1934, the daughter of Frank and Helen (Wurm) Wailand. After moving to Scottsdale in 1959, she became an active parishioner of St. Daniel the Prophet church, a proud member of the Phoenix Roadrunners Booster Club, and a recipient of the Pallas Athene award for community service. As president of the Alpha Omicron chapter of the Epsilon Sigma Alpha sorority, she oversaw the annual Mile of Pennies Drive fundraiser. She was a charming, vivacious and generous spirit who overcame physical hardships with a wry smile and an abiding faith. She is survived by her daughters, Linda West and Marie Stanley of Phoenix, and Fredda Bauer of Northborough, MA, as well as her grandchildren, Alexandria, Christopher, Charlotte, Elizabeth, Amy, James and Emma. Visitation will be held from 5-8pm with rosary at 6pm, Friday, May 15, 2015, Hansen Desert Hills Chapel, 6500 E. Bell Rd., Scottsdale. Memorial service and entombment at 10am, Saturday, May 16, 2015, St. Francis Cemetery Resurrection Mausoleum Chapel, 2033 N. 48th St., Phoenix.
