Jack Yee Obituary

Jack K. Yee, 80, of Glendale, AZ entered eternal rest March 26, 2003. A native Phoenician attended Phoenix Union High School. Served in World War II as a U.S. Air Force meteorologist, after his honorable discharge, he graduated Illinois College of Optometry in 1949,
practiced over 40 years of Optometry in Phoenix "Doc Yee" lived a full life enjoying golfing, bowling, and traveling. An original charter member and former Post Commander for American Legion Thomas Tang Post 50. His brothers, Tom and George preceded him in death, but survived by younger sister, Helen Chew, loving wife of 56 years, May, son, Gerald and daughter, Phyllis. Visitation, Monday, March 31, 2003, 5:00 to 8:00 P.M., A.L. Moore Grimshaw Bethany Chapel, 710 West Bethany Home Road. Funeral service, Tuesday, April 1, 2003, 10:00 A.M., also at A.L. Moore Grimshaw Bethany Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 East Flower Street, Phoenix, AZ 85014. www.almooregrimshaw.com

Dr. Yee made many many eyeglasses for me over the years. He made the first pair of glasses for my son when he was 5 years old in 1974. He was a kind man who always had patience for his patients. Please accept my sincere condolences.
