I´ve known Jeff nearly my entire life, his family moved to Michigan from Illinois but we remained close friends. Our families would plan vacations together fishing, Snowmobiling and even a Canoeing trip.
The Canoe trip was special 6 or 7 boats, parents trusting the teenagers to float safely without constant guidance. To no one´s surprise kids will be kids and suddenly a game of tip the other´s Canoe over began. Jeff fell out of his boat into freezing cold river water and everyone including the parents quickly moved towards the shoreline. Jeff being Jeff took his freezing cold pants off removed his turtleneck sweater and put his legs through the arms. Jeff stood at the top of the shoreline as proud as Superman defeating Zod with his turtleneck dangling in the middle, that was Jeff.
My wife and I offer our deepest sympathy to Jenny and the family

Deepest sympathies to Jenny and family. Jeff has taken care of my parents and Paula and me for past 25 years. Always provided unselfish help and support in taking care of our retirement financing options and was a great friend for all those years. He will be missed for sure.

I'm very sorry to hear of Jeff's sudden passing. My condolences to the family. Jeff was my elderly mother's financial advisor in Sun City, AZ. She adored him. His ability to help others to understand how best to manage their finances was amazing. His passion, compassion, knowledge, honesty and integrity came through in each interaction. Mom trusted him implicitly and I, living far away from her, took great comfort knowing Jeff cared for her and always had her best interest at heart. She loved that he would periodically come have lunch with her. Both being Illinois natives, they had a common bond. Jeff will be missed by all. Godspeed to the family during this difficult time.
