Jerrold Hatcher Obituary

Jerrold (Jerry) W. Hatcher

Phoenix - Jerry Hatcher, 83, passed away on June 14, 2021 at Sherman Home. He was born in Portland, OR, to William and Marie Bond. He attended elementary and high school in Tigard, OR. In 1956 he married his high school sweetheart Elizabeth Avery.

Jerry served in the Army for 30 years including stations in Richland, WA, Anchorage, AK, Denver, CO, Walter Reed, Vietnam, Okinawa, and Honolulu, HI. While overseas the family travelled to Taiwan, Hong Kong, and South Korea. He retired in San Antonio, TX in 1983. He moved to Phoenix to work with Phillips Medical and then taught computer literacy at ASU for five years. He also volunteered 16 years for the COPS (Citizens Offering Police Support) program.

Jerry will be joining his parents William and Marie Bond, and sisters Toni Behrman and Noreen Burns. Jerry is survived by wife Elizabeth, daughters Lucinda, Melanie Quick and husband Darrell, sister Terri Webster and husband Bob, brother-in-law Billie Burns, and many nieces and nephews.

He was an incredible man loved by family and friends. He will never be forgotten and forever missed. Services will be planned for a future date.
