Jonathan Warburton Obituary
- age 18, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2012 in Scottsdale, AZ following a tragic auto accident in Gilbert, AZ. He was a student at Chandler Gilbert Community College and a part-time employee of Serrano's restaurant. Jonathan is survived by his parents, Jim and Debbie; brothers, James L. (Ginger) Jr. and Jason K. (Monique); and sister, Lauren K. Warburton; grandmother, Helga Fragale as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins..
Family and friends are invited to attend 6:00 PM Memorial Services at Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church, 1159 N. Greenfield Road, Gilbert, AZ 85234 on Tuesday, March 27, 2012.
To assist others in fulfilling Jonathan's dreams of becoming a teacher, contributions to the Jonathan R. Warburton Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Wells Fargo Bank Account #1330440510 will be greatly appreciated. Jonathan was my cousin but he felt like a big brother to me and sadly I barley every got to see him because of our distance from florida to arizona.. you were a good boy becoming a man and I could tell you were going to be successful. I'm always at a lost for words because I know that words will never do any justice to the thoughtful, kindhearted, genuine person Jon is. Till we meet again, I just want to say thank you for letting me be apart of your life. I can honestly say that you are the best thing that has ever happened to me. You became my best friend, the boy I love most, and once again, I just want to say thank for that. You always had a big heart and opening arms with a welcoming smile. You were always so willing to listen to me, your radiating self appreciation made me see value within myself, you held me together on the good days and the bad, and when people tell me that I have a good head on my shoulders, or that I'm wiser than my years, I just smile to myself because I learned all of that from you, and I can't thank you enough. I will always treasure the time we spent together whether it be bonding at our spot in the park, waking up next to you, our laughs and tears on the curb in front of my house, or simply our late nights at Coffee Rush. I guess what i'm trying to say is that there are people who don't get this lucky, get this loved, get to have something so genuine with someone so genuine, and I found all of that within you. I fell in love with the world within you, Jonathan, and it warms my heart up everyday. I am forever grateful for our little infinity. I love you always, but you know that.

Jon,you didnt deserve this. You were seriously the nicest guy ever. You always knew how to make us laugh at work. I mis your laugh, your smile, our inside jokes.. "i doooooo!" :) i love and miss you so much. RIP Jon.

Jon was my best friend. Jon is hands down one of the greatest men i have ever met in my life. So loving, patient kind and smart. Jon did every single thing with such meaning and with his whole heart. Not a day goes by that i dont think about you Jon or shead a couple tears. Tears of Joy of course. I still half expect you too come knock on my front door. I miss seeing your face at serranos, or your Text messages to meet you at coffee rush, or our late night trips to dennys. I miss your hugs and your warm welcoming smile. You taught me so much and even though your far away i know your here with us. And you continue to teach me things about life. Too be patient and too be a listner, too do everything with meaning, too love unconditionally, not too judge, most importantly REGRET NOTHING. I can never express enough how grateful i am that i got too be apart of your life. I feel so blessed to be able to say that you were my best friend. Jon was like my Little brother. He taught me so much and was admired by everyone Who knew him. Jon knew exactly how to turn my bad days back around and make me laugh. From concerts, to parties, to the late nights w/ our Work family. Jon was always the glue that held us together. He was the most dedicated, reliable, and free spirited person ive ever had the pleasure of knowing. He truly was my hero without a doubt. til this day I cry only tears of joy because I know Jon would be mad if I was sad. I get signs everyday knowing hes okay and with that im content. We were deeply sadened to find out about Jonathan's passing the other night after visiting Serrano's. Jonathan was our favorite and we would bump into him around Gilbert from time to time. im realy sorry for your loss iam a friend of mary my name is fatima, my prayers go out to the family....i have 3 boys n 1 is the same age as yr son n i cant imagine loosin any of them because no matter how old they are we want to protect them aas much as possible...so i can imagine how u feel....he is now in peace and an angel watching over mom n dad n the rest of the loved 1s....he will always be with u n in your hearts....hang in there n again iam so sorry for yr loss..life sometimes just isnt fear but only god knows why he does what he does..he does it for a reason but we are the only 1s who dont kno he will help u get through it n mend yr hearts..jonathan will always be there for u always....

I did not know Jon all that well other than he was a nice person. I was his math teacher at CGCC. He taught me a lesson that I think applies to all of us. His first test score was 70 and his second test score was 88. That is a 26% improvement! May we all learn to improve our lives every day. Be better today than you were yesterday, and be better tomorrow than you are today. Thank you for the lesson you taught me, Jon.

What a kind, humble, patient, intelligent, respectful, mature man Jon was. Jonathan, thank you for lifting me up when I was down, holding me together when I wanted to fall apart, making me laugh until I cried, and giving me something to aspire to. I have been, and will continue to live each day, aspiring to be half as great as the phenomenal person that you were. You were a blessing to me and to all those around you. I love you and miss you very much, but I will see you again. I will have Mo start working on a Coffee Rush up there in heaven, where we will play chess, and drink peach mango soda, and just talk. Jon is one of my sons best friends. Many days he and others would fill my home with laughter. I still see him there. His smile, his kindness. Our family misses him terribly. Jon and I have been great friends since we met in band class of junior high. He always had the most comical words to share and in our years of friend ship I never once witnessed negativity escape from his mouth. Jon is one of my favorite people, I know I will not find another like you.
One of these days when the lord takes me to his kingdom, I pray that Jon is one of the first people I see again. Until then, I miss you so.

I am Jon's education instructor at Chandler-Gilbert Community College. We will all miss Jon very much. On Thursday, he presented with his team of three other students on Technology in the Classroom. My notes on Jon: "Nice greeting! Very GOOD class interaction throughout. Fun ice-breaker! You delivered an engaging overview of the lesson." Jon seemed to be enjoying the whole experience.
My heart is so very sad for your loss and education's loss. For whatever small solace it may bring you, on Jon's last day, he was a teacher!

You don't know us and we don't know you, but our two sons were great friends. Our son, Tyler Gibb, worked with Jon at Serranos. Tyler often said that Jon was one of his very best friends, and because of Tyler's friendship with your son we felt that we were a small part of Jon's life.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to your family at this time. We pray for you every day and trust that our Father in Heaven will fill your hearts and souls with peace and understanding.
