Joshua Mingus Obituary
30, born in 1982, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday 8-11-13. He was a brother, husband and father of 5 children. He is survived by his wife Brandy and their children Allison, Ashley, Noah and Matthew. He is also survived by his son Anthony. His Father Dean Sword, Mother and Step Father Mary & Scott McVay, brother Justin, step sister Sarah (Gabriel), step brother Kyle, grandparents, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and in-laws. He was a very loving family man who loved God and his country. He served in the Army and lived life caring for all people. He had an infectious laugh, smile and spread his love to everyone. His time with us was short but full of everlasting love, memories, inspiration and courage, all of which will continue to live through us. With his heart of gold, he lit up our lives with love and was anyone's shoulder to lean on and a true role model. He was a man that believed in discipline. When you didn't think you had the strength to go on he was that voice that would get you through. He stood for what was righteous and was unyielding with his love. He's in God's arms now and will be greatly missed here. When he arrived at heaven's door, he was most definitely greeted with open arms and God told him well done my son, come in, welcome home.
Services will be held on August 19th, 10am at CCV Church @ 7007 W. Happy Valley Rd, Peoria, AZ, 85383. In lieu of flowers, a donation account has been set up at Wells Fargo under Brandy Mingus donation account.

I can still picture Joshua jumping off the roof and in to the pool... Both of our Dads, Dean n Mike jumping on the trampoline. When Joshua said a cuss word, We were jealous that he got to say it and not anyone of the younger kids. Lol I'm so sorry for his loss. XOXOxoxo

Josh, I cant believe you are gone. I know you are above watching over Brandy and the kids but I promise I will make sure to visit and stay by their side. You and Brandy have a love like no other and she will carry that with her. I remember the day you and brandy moved to California you promised you will always take care of them and you did and i promise i will do my best and be there for her and the kids, until you all meet again. Love you and you will be missed.Rest In Peace.
