Karen Johnson Obituary

Johnson, Karen Sandra Sanders
71, of Mesa, AZ passed away on October 28, 2013, after a long illness. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Karen was born in Safford, AZ on March 30th, 1942 to Karl and Mable Sanders. She Lived in the east valley as well as many years in Cave Creek, AZ. She was a faithfull member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saint through out her life. She served in many calling in the church with Young Women's and Relief Society being her favorites. She also served as a Temple worker in the Mesa, AZ temple for many years with her husband. Karen was an accomplished seamstress and quilter who created many now cherished gifts for her family and friends to remember her by. Karen over came many challenges in her life which she was able to maintain her testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ and be an example of faith and endurance to her family. Karen was proceeded in death by her husband of 36 year, Rupert Tremaine Johnson and leave behind her 5 children Miles (Denise) Johnson, Scott Johnson, Nisa (Garn) Emery, Kurt Johnson and Juliet (Lee) Dayley as was as 23 Grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren who will miss her dearly. She is also survived by her living sibling Dick (Marva) Sanders. A viewing will be held at the LDS church building located at 2647 S. Signal Butte Rd., Mesa, Arizona 85209 on Friday November 1, 2013 from 10-10:45am with funeral services following at the same location at 11am. Internment will be later that afternoon in the Graham Cemetery, Safford Arizona beside her parents and siblings.

You will be missed aunt Karen, I bet you are having a fabulous reunion with mom and dad and your sisters. We will watch over your loved ones on this side of the veil. Till we meet again.
