My fondest memory of Mark is one day in fifth grade when we were riding our bikes home from Heard. He was always trying to make me laugh and prove he was more daring that I was--a girl! On this day we were riding without hands and Mark was turned around backward. I tried to tell him that a street sign was coming up, but he would not believe me because stopping would have meant he lost. He hit the sign, fell off the bike and had a bump on his head. We laughed about that for the next 3 years at Heard. He was a generous, loyal friend and kind to everyone. My condolences to his family and other friends and may he rest in peace. His picture shows he still looked the same!

Few people made me laugh like Mark . What a knowledge of music and particularly the Doors and would watch him as a kid play on his piano like Jim Morrison. Had a lot of fun times with him growing up . God bless him and his family.

Mark was an amazing person. His music knowledge was incredible. He taught me how to play the guitar and music in general. Most importantly, he always put a smile on my face and those around him. We love you Mark, you'll be missed.

Mark and I bonded immediately when we first met. First it was our USC history and then our passion for music. Two things I will never forget. But most of all you had a dry sense of humor that would make me laugh daily. You were a good guy and you will be missed!

Mark was the mellow giant. He was always kind to everyone. What a great sense of humor and a smart guy. One of my favorite musicians. We never stopped laughing. I'll always remember him and when I do it will bring a smile to my face. God bless Mark Kunde.
