Shelly,

We are cousins of Norma Blondin, Lou's wife. We never had the blessing to meet your husband but have heard many wonderful things. May God be with you and your family as you continue your life here on earth. We know that God is watching and guiding you through these very trying times. We pray for you and your children daily. You will always have your Guardian Angel Pedro with you. God bless you!!

Through my good friend, Lou Blondin, I was fortunate enough to have met Pedro and his family. The immediate thought that comes to mind about Pedro is that he was the definition of a kind, good person. The love he felt for his family and friends was always a priority in his life. My wife, Diana, and me want to send our sincerest sypathies to Pedro's family and friends and we will keep you all in our prayers!

Pedro was a member of the FHHS class of 1985 and I was the Guidance Counselor for that class. I remember him well, he was a great kid. When I checked the yearbook, there he was, looking exactly as I remembered. And he achieved his goal of going to college and succeeding in business. I am sure he will be missed greatly by his family and friends. I am so sorry the world has lost such a fine young man. I just wanted you to know that Pedro had left a positive impression with me and that I remembered him fondly after all these years.

Shelly,

We met many years ago when Pedro brought you home for a visit after college. Pedro and I were close friends in high school, I will never forget him. I was devestated when I heard the news. I have two young children of my own and keep you in my prayers. I would be honored if one day you would allow me to speak to your children about their father. I could tell them tales of high school, Pedro's football days, his red mustang and what a good friend he truly was. I am honored to say Padro Corzo was my friend. I will always love and miss him.

My God Was There:

In deepest grief my soul did faint

Beneath a load I could not bear

The floods had dragged me to the deep

I did not know my God was there.

I heard His voice amid the gloom

He whispered softly in my ear

"Take thou My hand, oh child of faith"

He held me close - He held me near.

He lifted me with gentle hands

He bore my sorrow in His heart

He took the load I could not bear

Oh, gracious God, how great Thou art.

He carried me upon the crest

His light and love surrounding me

He lifted me from dark despair

To peace, and joy, and liberty.

Oh, saddened heart with wounds that bleed

My God knows your every need

He will not fail you in this hour

If you'll but trust His mighty power.

Shelly, I have been there so I know your grief and pain. I know all the questions that are resounding in your mind. How do you go on? Pedro and I had many talks regarding your strong faith. Now more than ever is when you will have to hold on to God's unchanging hand. Also spend time reflecting on the beautiful time you both shared and rest assured that you will see him agian. Be strong and courageous. To the rest of the family: my thoughts and prayers will be with you.

It's very hard to make heads or tails about why things like this have to happen to good people like Pedro. We know that God has a plan for us and God chose Pedro to be part of a greater plan. While it's very hard to accept his passing so tragically, I have to believe it was for a greater cause. Pedro was chosen because he was so special to God. He was a chosen son. How blessed we feel to know that he is up there on our side. Shelly, Veronica, and PJ, you already know how much we love you and you know that you can always count on us for whatever needs you may have. "Packing up the dreams God planted

In the fertile soil of you

Can’t believe the hopes he’s granted

Means a chapter in your life is through

But we’ll keep you close as always

It won’t even seem you’ve gone

’cause our hearts in big and small ways

Will keep the love that keeps us strong

And friends are friends forever

If the lord’s the lord of them

And a friend will not say "never"

’cause the welcome will not end

Though it’s hard to let you go

In the father’s hands we know

That a lifetime’s not too long to live as friends." (Michael W. Smith)

Life is a school we all must endure,

at the end awaits heaven for the kind and the pure.

God may give and God may take,

with the passing of loved ones we mourn and wake.

I have prayed night after night,

I can now rest assured a new angel has taken flight.

The memories and lessons learned are deep in our heart,

cherish them, pass them on, and our loved ones will never part.

I don't think of it as a loss, as most people understand,

I think of it as gaining an angel's helping hand.

Life holds many treasures for which there is no price,

We'll reunite and reminisce in God's paradise.

My heartfelt condolences to Shelly and the Corzo family. Pedro will sadly be missed by all the lives he touched. He gave so graciously and stood strong to the end. As you look back over the years it will not be difficult to get lost in the wonderful memories you shared. His journey in life was special. He gave his loved ones the chance to be who they wanted to be and taught them many things. Pedro was an inspiration to all who knew him. May you find strength, comfort, guidance, and peace as each day passes. Thank God for special moments in time. Thank God for angels. He will always walk beside you and watch over you until you meet again.

Pedro and I worked together for 6 years, and like all GM and Warehouse Managers we had our share of ups and downs. What I will remember most about Pedro was he backed me 100% when I needed him. There was an instance a few years back when I had a problem with an employee and Human Resources told us to suspend the guy for a week. Pedro asked me what I wanted to do and I said I’d fire the guy. PEDRO fired the guy right then! When I needed Pedro he was always in my corner even if we did not always agree. I think Pedro and I had a mutual respect for each other’s work ethic as he was a very dedicated employee and a hard working man himself. I will never forget that Pedro was the man who hired me and had confidence in my work. I always had the utmost respect for him for that. My heart goes out to you Shelly, your daughter, your son and to all the family members that have been effected by this terrible tragedy. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

My prayers are with the Corzo family. Shelly was my teacher in the "Time to build" class. In class she spoke very highly of her marriage with Pedro and little Veronica. Though I did not know Pedro personally, if felt like it because of what Shelly shared. Of what I saw of Pedro, he had a smile all the time especially while holding his daughter. His face shined Jesus.

Pedro was a great person and a true man of God, who was not afraid to show it, even at work. His doors were always open and he was willing to discuss anything from stories in the bible to stock portfolios. Pedro was a true businessman who understood the value of hard work and dedication. Although, he wasn’t much of a forklift driver and he seemed to do better from the office, I remember times Pedro would go into the warehouse get on a forklift and try his hardest to help keep production moving along. Pedro was without a doubt an extremely educated individual. If you were willing to listen you could learn a lot from what Pedro had to say. He loved to discuss the growing operation and what it takes to grow a melon. You could sense the excitement in his eye as he told what role the bees played, or when he talked about the different parts of the plant.

My heart goes out to his family and other loved ones who have shared in the pain of this tragic misfortune. My prayers are with you Shelly. May God grant you the power to continue to be strong for your daughter and unborn son. I will keep you in my prayers throughout the remainder of your pregnancy and as you continue to cope with this hardship.
