As I laid in my bed curled in a ball, praying to God to make sense of it all. To give me the strength not to quit or give in, but please most important show me how to begin. Mistakes all around me from bad judgment calls, my life in more pieces and pain from them all. So paralyzed by the fear of failing again, where to go, what to do, no strength left within. Wouldn't you know, God's funny that way, he answered my prayers that very same day. A phone call from a man he put in my life gave me the strength I needed to fight. He tells me he loves me as if I were his own flesh and blood. These words I take pride in and trust to be love. A gift from God with an angel's touch, I love this man dearly and owe him so much. I have known him now for 29 years, his love and his strength helped me conquer my fears. He married my mom and made her his wife. This man is my father, this man saved my life.
