Robert Phillips Obituary
On Thursday, July 8th, 2021, Robert Phillips was called home to be with our Lord after battling esophageal cancer with such grace and strength. This same grace and strength were presented throughout the entirety of his life and something he would be proud to be remembered by.
Robert was born on September 12, 1965, in California but those who know him, know Arizona was truly his home. He attended Saint Martin's University in Lacey, Washington where he was the first in his family to attend and graduate from college. Robert played on the basketball team alongside his life-long friends during his time at Saint Martin's. The friendships and community he built there inspired him to later join and serve on the National Alumni Board for the school. After his time at Saint Martin's, he began a 30+ year career in banking. During his last few years Robert was beyond proud to have been the Arizona Market President for Notre Dame Federal Credit Union where he worked alongside some of his closest friends, those who he considered family.
To those who knew him and anyone he crossed paths with, Robert was always smiling, had an awfully corny "dad joke" to share, or was expressing how proud he was of his daughter. He had a great sense of humor with a big heart. A beloved son, brother, and father who will be dearly missed by those who were lucky enough to cross paths with such a great man. Robert is survived by his father Gerald Phillips, mother Susan Phillips, daughter Aleigh Phillips, girlfriend Blanca Rivera Maag, sister Vicki Phillips, and brother Ronald Phillips.
There will be a small and intimate celebration of life at the Art House in Gilbert on August 1st, 2021 from 5:00pm-8:00pm. If you are wishing to attend, please email: [email protected]

I was so deeply saddened to hear of Bobby´s passing. He was such a fine young man & a wonderful father. I know his family is very heartbroken.
I have known Bobby´s mother since she & I were 10 years old. We actually were expecting our children at the same time. My daughter was born 3 weeks before Bobby.
My husband & I use to visit the family when they all lived in WA. Aleigh was just a little girl & probably doesn´t remember us.
I just want to let all of Bobby´s family & friends how sorry I am for your loss.
Please know you are all in my prayers.
I pray that God will carry you all gently through your grief.
